Product Description

Kasseri is one of the best known Greek cheeses, the classic table cheese in Greece. Kasseri is a semi-hard cheese with a pleasant buttery texture. It has a delicate and slightly sweet flavor. It is made exclusively from sheep milk and at most 20% goat's milk, fact that gives this cheese the protected designation of origin mark (PDO). It is often served with bread and olives, as an accompaniment to an aperitif or a glass of tsipouro or ouzo. However, its most common use is in the Kasseropita, a cheese pie made exclusively with Kasseri and phyllo dough, a great appetizer for your dinner table!
